He was one of the all time greats – a gentle, loving soul who fought a long, hard fight and was no doubt greeted by a band of angels. Dale was a loving and caring son, husband, father and grandfather who loved his God and lived his faith. He had a charming smile and quick wit that always brought joy and lifted others up. But the greatest joy in his life came from time spent with family-especially spoiling his grandchildren! He was a very Christian person and was kind to everyone he met. He and Kay enjoyed many adventures with lifelong friends. Dale loved playing golf, racquetball, hiking and being outdoors. He spent most of his career at American Commission and eventually became a co-owner. Dale also proudly served in the United States Air National Guard. He learned the trade of carpentry soon after high school when he worked at Guild Craftsman. He was the “captain of her heart” and she was his guiding light. Their love for each other was as strong on his last day as it was on the first day they met.
